Annual Downtown trip

Jaxson's first train ride.
Hayden met a friend :-)
Nana and her guys.
Enjoying our meal at the famous Walnut Room at Macy's/Marshall Field's
Jax enjoying his meal as well.
The Macy's Tree 2008 designed by Tommy Hillfiger this year. Very traditional and nice.

Hayden in front of the windows. I have to say I did not like them this year. There weren't as many as year past and it wasn't a theme or fairy tail. Very confusing but still pretty.

This was taken in the lobby of one of the downtown buildings. It was just so cool and I knew it would make a great picture.
German ornaments at the German Market in Daley Plaza.
Every year I stop at this booth and look at these beautiful lights. I would love to buy one but I have no clue where I would put one.

#2 tooth

What I think is funny is that Hayden's teeth are falling out in the order they came in :-) Also, as you can all see his tonsils are great! LOL

New trick

Sounds like a puppy. LOL Just wanted to show off Jax's newest trick... STANDING by himself. He's coming up with so many new ones each day. Sometimes things I didn't know he knew or things I didn't teach him.

Also, does this child have enough toys?

Amen to that!

A friend sent this to me and I've seen it before but as Hayden gets older I really see the wisdom in this song

New picture

Because someone said I can no longer use the profile picture I had up we took a new family photo today. Too bad we didn't have this picture a week ago. It would of made a great Christmas card photo.
And because I love him so much I took a picture with my husband.

After 40 years they can still be cute

My Dad surprised my mother with a diamond heart necklace for their 40th anniversary today.Yes after 40 years they still like eachother ;)
Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

It's that time of year

Village Tree Lighting

We go every year to the Village Tree lighting to watch them light the big tree near the Village Hall. The cookies and hot chocolate seal the deal.

The boys and Santa. Jax just kept staring at him... like who the heck is this and why am I on his lap? Check out his eyes. :-)Okay really he didn't cry until Pa poked him in the nose to get him to look at the camera.Hayden and Jax all bundled up for the 11` weather.
The reflection is from his rain/wind shield that goes over his stroller.

The "other" tree

Kind of like the "other" white meat :)Tim and Hayden lovingly adorn the other tree in our home. The Star Wars Tree
As most of you know Tim is a Star Wars nut and has passed it on to Hayden, this is no exception.
Jax got in on it this year. He loves playing with Hayden's Star Wars toys so I feel I have lost him to the cult too. :-)Just to prove that 98% of the ornaments on this tree are all Star Wars ornaments.

Snow day

We've had a bit of snow already which is nice because it's helps me get in the spirit of Christmas. All Hayden needs is the talk of snow :-)

Trimming the Tree

We decided to "try" the family tree in the family room. We changed it's location to the corner of the room to have protection from 2 walls, the TV center, and the loveseat. We're hoping that is "Jax proof" enough. There is also a table in front of it to block him and the cat.
It was a fun evening and loved watching Jax with all the lights. I'll admit he sat in him jumper most of the time but he was happy.
Daddy and Hayden hanging some Jax friendly ornaments.
Here's Jax getting in on the action.
The boys resting after a job well done.Family Tree 2008Jax is thinking these look pretty fun.My baby man... I have no idea where his shirt went?Jax trying to figure out how long it would take to gnaw through the table to get to the tree.

10 Months Old

Well let's see if there is anything I can add to the 9 1/2 month post.
* He started talking... Ma Ma was first. He'll say Dada but hasn't said it to Tim just yet.
* Crawling OVER things. Toys, pillows, through chairs. nothing stops this kid :)
* He will hold his arms up when you ask him "how big are you?"

I guess that's about it including the crawling, pulling up, standing, cruising, holding a bottle, and clapping. Not bad for a month, huh? :)

I did take him to the doctor this month to get his second booster flu shot so they weighed him for me.
20lbs. 1 oz.
I don't know how long because they didn't do that. I just know he's wearing 12-month pants but the waists are too big and I have to roll them down. (see picture) Do they make belts for babies? But on top he's still in 6-9month stuff. He's long and lean just like all the men in the family ;)

I can't wait for Christmas and all that comes along with it. He's so amazed by the lights and the tree. He doesn't even realize yet, that there is so much more.
