Soccer is over

This season has come to a close and not for lack of trying but the team went win-less. Tim tried his best to motivate the team and the kids did improve they just never had a lucky day. Here they are enjoying a pizza party thrown by the district. Most of the team and their trophy's.
Coach and son.
Jax getting in on the pizza as well. :-)

Hayden's Birthday week

Started out with his kids party on the 18th. Lots of kids could not make it, so out of the 10 invited only 4 showed up. But this didn't stop them from having fun!
Can you believe 6-7 year olds were playing in the toddler's sandbox?Luckily it was nice enough to play outside for awhile. We played a few games of "Heros vs Villains" Like tag but the person tagged has to join in and get everyone else. The kids loved this one!
Since it was a Spiderman party we played pic the spider on the web.
Kids enjoying a rest between games.
Bozo buckets. Too bad the balls would bounce right back out after them landed them in.
Freeze Dancing was a HUGE hit!!! And for 6-7yr olds they listened pretty well.
Hayden smacking the stuffing out of the pinata. Luckily we had gone through the line 3 times.
King of the Candy
Hayden and his friends.

Apple Picking in the Snow?

We usually go apple picking every fall and it's always to the same place, Oriole Springs in Wisconsin. This year with busy schedules, weather, and waiting for my Dad to get back from FL we ended up going very late in the season. The weather was so good over the summer though, the trees were just loaded with apples. More than we've ever seen before! And look at the size of them!
This was Jaxson's first year so he was unsure what to make of all this... food on trees? I thought food grew on shelves :-)
Nana and the boys.
A nice family picture in the orchard.
This is how it comes of ...p..u..l..l.!!!
Gram and Pa with the boys... as you can see it was very very cold from how everyone was bundled up. At one point it was actually snowing in the orchard!

This si his second apple out of 4 he ate that day...
At the smoke house they have a small pen of animals for the kids to look at. Goats, geese and turkeys. Jax loved the turkeys because they gobbled back at him.
Warm apple cider, fresh apples and a nice HOT doughnut rounded out our trip nicely.

Homework Time

If it's homework time for Hayden then most likely it's"homework" time for Jaxson as well. :)

The Couple

The best part of a wedding are the bride and groom. This wedding was no exception. It helped that they are one good looking couple.

The Ceremony

Nick on keyboards
Everyone walking in... they had to be very careful of the stone walkway. Very pretty but murder on heels.

The opted to do a wine ceremony instead of a unity candle or sand. It was supposed to represent the bitter and sweet moments in life with a bitter and sweet wine.

Announcing the happy couple!

more to come . . .
