What we've been up to . . .

Camping with 7 other families out in the wild.... well without power or running water but there was an outhouse within 15 feet :)

the end of soccer season and maybe for good.
visiting the state capital and learning a bit about our 16th president
summer programs at the library

and it's only July 1st :) can't wait to see what we do this weekend!

Teaching Jax

how to run through the sprinkler like only a big brother could.
Thankful for Hayden that he did this because when Hayden was little it was Tim and I running though the sprinkler to give him the idea. I got to stay dry this time :)

Beatin the Heat!

The boys beatin the summer heat and enjoying a dip in the pool. We didn't get to use it too much this summer due to the nasty sap that was falling from our Maple trees. It felt like it was raining sap at times and now we're dealing with sticky and dirty toys, furniture and a patio.
They can be cute together when they aren't beating each other up :)

Tattoo Brothers

The boys got tattoos the other day and wanted them in the same spot. Not real ones people! :D

Rainy Day modeling

On the first week off of school we had a really rainy blah day... so what does Mommy do? Whip out my portable studio and make the kids model of course!

Cool story; this sailor uniform was made out of my PawPaw's uniform into an outfit for my Uncle Scott. . . 42 years ago. My mother gave it to me to use with Hayden but by the time I found it in the back of his closet he was too big. So with Jax I kept it right in front and kept trying it on. My mother has a photo of my uncle in it and now Jaxson.

Jaxson reminds me of the Cracker Jack logo in this photo. All he needed was a dog. :D
Hayden in his Purple belt... even though he's testing for his Blue tomorrow. Oh well we'll have to take another picture :D

The for Tim and my father I wanted brother pictures. These were hard to get because Jax was just not having this... I only got 4 shots off before he had enough and took off. I am lucky that 3 out of the 4 turned out :D

My boys do sometimes show that they love each other. Every morning now Jax gets up and runs out to the family room and snuggles with Hayden who is already watching cartoons. Its really sweet to see. They do actually like each other.... for now :)

the student becomes the teacher

Hayden has started letting Jaxson sit with him while he plays on the computer. It's kind of cute how he's showing him around the computer. By Jaxson's age Hayden was playing Star Wars Lego all by himself. :) I guess it's time to introduce Jax to the PC.

The Hunt is on...

Jax really understood what needed to be done this year, but that didn't stop big brother from helping him :)

Pumpkin picture

All I wanted when we got home was a nice picture of the boys and their pumpkins... well Hayden had to go and grab Jax's pumpkin from his hands. Jax didn't think too highly of that!!
