campfires and marshmallows

About once a summer we try and do hot dog night... well this year with everyone's schedules and vacations we've done several with different people.
Here's Faith enjoying the sugary goodness that is a s'more. This is what happens when you ask Jaxson to show you his marshmallow. :) LOL
Sarah you have something on your lip there :)
I think this was Hayden's second one... there was more on his face than in his mouth
The kids... seriously I am feeling old when I see them all together. They are all so grown-up and good looking. The used to play together as babies and now they talk Pokemon.

As you can see they have come a long way... I think Hayden was about Jax's age here so that would make Faith about 2 and Sarah almost 4.

Summer Fest Parade

For the last 5 years Tim, Hayden and I have ridden in the Summer Fest Parade with my father who is cool enough to get to lead the parade in the DARE trunk. Here we are waiting for the parade to start.Tim, my man, waiting for the show to get going.

Me and the boys taking in the action.

Tim and the kids catching candy.
Jax being patriotic and waving his flag.

Pa and his boys. Jaxson's first year riding in the parade :)

A semi-warm day

Jaxson and I took advantage of the mercury hitting 85° last Friday and headed out to the splash pad in town. At first Jax was ll excited to see the water, that was until he realized I expected him to go in it.Not so happy with me here... and running for his life!
Enjoying the water table a little bit more... although they weren't working as well as they should of.
Catching water from a spout to go dump in the water table
a quick pic before we packed it up for the day... we'll try again another day when big brother is there to show him how it's done. :)

some of Jax

This one was taken by Tim with my new lens.... yes I let him touch my camera every now and then.Being a big boy with Hayden's helmet
Mom I want to pull the wagon not sit in it.
See now we're moving I'm a happy bi-polar baby :D

Houston we have lift off...

there are still tumbles and he's not all that great at breaking... but I can say that Hayden knows how to ride his bike :)
Thus the serious face in this one.
after a spill there were tears but he's recovered with a new bruise to add to the "polka dots" of summer :)

Feeding our feathered friends...

We headed out last Friday to find some ducks or geese to feed...we had 5 bags of leftover buns from the 4th BBQ. We hit a local park where they have fests and art shows. It was a really nice walk on a beautiful evening.
Did I mention the art?

Jax getting into throwing the bread... and Mommy getting freaked out by how close to the water he was. :D
You feed them and they will come. You'd be surprised just how fast they cam leave when a 17 month old screams at them :)
Hey he's not a duck but turtles are hungry too :)
You should of heard Jax, "tickle tickle tickle" It was just too cute!
Hayden getting a hand.... LOL

Taking a moment with the baby
My boys. I would of gotten more pictures but the camera battery died after this last picture. Oh well at least I got this one.

Swimming

Now we don't have a great big pool in the back yard and we destroy blow-up pools in a few uses... so this $5 jobbie works just fine for us....that was until we broke it a few days ago. Doh!!
here's Jax cooling off.
Hayden being stupid.... you can guess where he was pouring the water... BOYS!
Did we tell you Jax was in that movie "Parenthood"?? He's the kid with the bucket on his head :D

Trying to get a nice photo of my little man.... darn camera shake!

Vegas Baby!

For those of you who don't know by now, Tim and I went to Vegas for our 10th anniversary. I know a bit early but we didn't want to go during the school year. We went back to the scene of the crime 12 years later.
This is us in 1997...before we were even engaged for my 21st birthday.2 kids, gray hair, and a few pounds later :) 2009 in almost the same spot :)

While we were there we re-newed our vows under the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign. Not very romantic but we were going for fun. I did surprise Tim with new wedding bands. Just simple gold bands but it will be something to remember the day by.
Man and wife, again :)
On top of the Stratosphere to catch some views of the strip and the mountains. Someone was nice enough to get a picture.
At dinner that night... best dinner ever!!!
At Madame Tussauds. . . marrying George Clooney. Hey I needed a back up :) :)
Tim giving some pointers to Tiger
Huh huh What's shakin baby :)
The famous Dale Chiluiy ceiling. It was beyond words.

My winnings that I won, of all games, WAR!!! I won us dinner that night ;)
On top the Effiel Tower... it was a wonderful night. Cool and the moon was out.
Tim trying his luck on Fremont Street, enjoying a 44oz beer!
Joining him in lush-dom.... man, that colada was GOOD!
Best picture!
This picture was taken at Minus 5°. The best bar ever!!! It's completely made of ice. The walls, chairs, tables, even the glasses you get your drinks in. It was amazing...since it was 20° in the bar and 103° outside. :D
It was an amazing trip and we really enjoyed being together. A feat after 10 years, I'd say. But we were both very excited to get back home to our boys... and I'm sure the grandparents were too.
Thanks again guys for watching them and giving us this moment :D
