Just a nothing post

I know I said I am caught up and I am :) But not much has been happening around here to post about.
Jaxson has been sick, just a cold but he's happy and miserable all at the same time. I thought he was over it enough to have his first sleepover at my parents house and he did fine but his runny nose and cranky disposition are back. He did pause long enough for me to get these. He was even happy enough to play around in my shoes. (no he didn't leak his diaper. He was practicing drinking out of a cup. We need more practice)

Hayden has been good but has had some of the cold as well. Some issues in school with "friends" and "not friends" but nothing that a 1st grade heart can't handle. Kids out there these days are rough and my big lug of a kid just can't take it sometimes. He's playing indoor soccer this winter and is doing well. Maybe I'll grab the camera next time and get some pics.

Tim is doing well. Work is coming along and finally started on the project he got hired to work on. I can't say he's in love with his job yet but it's hard after being at a place for 10years and working with people you truly enjoyed being around to find that again somewhere else. I've roped him into coaching for Spring soccer, he's looking forward to that.

And since my son's are so into sharing I've caught sickness they have been passing around. I had to call in sick to work, something I haven't done in 2 years!! I hate doing it but I just won't go with a fever. That doesn't need to be spread to the patients. Plus the idea of laying on the couch today during Jaxson's nap is SOOO appealing....so off I go!

Yiiipppeee!!

I'M CAUGHT UP :)
{{this is me happy dancing}}

Hopefully I won't let it get this far behind again.

and onto Green

Hayden tested for his GREEN belt the first week in February. It's taken him 3 years and 4 months and it should take him the same to reach his BLACK belt. Can you imagine? My son a black belt before he's a teenager? wow.
This is once fierce dude.
Completing his first kata, Genesis.
Getting his belt. Look at that look on his face.... can you tell he's happy? I didn't think so. {{insert sarcasm here}}

I broke out the studio to try and get a portrait of him in his belt. I didn't have the lighting right but these came out all dramatic and moody, don't you think?
We are so proud of him for sticking with this. It's something he's really good at and enjoys.

Your ears would bleed too if you lived here

This is what we get to hear most nights is the shrill of little boys. I didn't think their voices could get that high but alas our children can. :)

again I apologize if I caused any pain but the title did warm you. LOL

Jaxson turns 2!!

On his birthday we took Jaxson to Red Red Robin for dinner. He loves the french fries there and always gets a balloon. This time though he got something more.... a free ice cream. Can you tell he was happy about that?
Once we got home he got our gift... a new tricycle!!! (I feel like an announcer. LOL) He's too small for Hayden's first bike and too big for the push car. So we got him something in between for this summer. We had Jaxson's party the weekend after his birthday. It was a nice day and one that was celebrated. Tim had a job again, everyone was healthy, and our family and friends were all around us. Jaxson had a good day because he scored some COOL presents!
We had been practicing blowing out the candles for awhile and he did really good, and only drooled on the cake a tiny bit.
As is becoming tradition I baked the cake this year and felt a little adventurous. You can see it wasn't that pretty on the outside but check out the middle. :D

It even tasted good too.

Family Picture 2010

We had Family pictures taken at JC Penny for the last time this year. Now since I have the studio setup at home I don't think we will be going back. Nice!

Jaxson's 2 year photos. He looks so much like Hayden at this age but them so different. No fooling anyone that they aren't related.

Another one bites the dust

Hayden finally loses the other front tooth after this one hanging on for about a month. He was very excited since it came out in school and was able to get a little treasure chest to hold it in.

All things Wiggle ©

Jax has developed a love of the Wiggles, just like Hayden did. Jax just takes it to new levels. :) He can dance with 90% of the songs and will come running from another room when he hears one of his favorites. This is Rock a Bye a Bear.
Too bad not all the Wiggles are part of the group anymore or else we would try and see them next time they tour.

NYE '09

On NYE we celebrate with Jere, Sharon and the girls. We have for as long as I can remember now. We had more to celebrate since Jere learned that morning that he would have a job after 6 months of being laid off and we were waiting on news of Tim's job news. We brought out the hats and horns early since Jax would be sleeping at actual midnight, at least I hoped. So here is our little princess :)
The kids livin' it up!
Me and Sharon, after a pitcher of Sangria, hence the 'squinties' :D
Jax and Faithie hanging out.
The kids started playing Wii and once Jax was in bed the adults kicked them out and had our turn at Wii Resort and Deer Hunter. We really haven't laughed that much in a long time. It was fun to be carefree for the evening. :)
Jax and his Godmama.
Me and Tim at midnight... this was the 'nice' picture. LOL
Here's Sharon and Jere's 'naughty' picture...they really know how to celebrate the New Yearthe kids all ready for midnight and bed. They had pretty much hit the wall at this point.
The next morning... don't know who was more tired. :D

Sledding fun... well for most of us.

We went to a local hill in town to introduce the boys to real sledding and try out their new Star Wars sled. Tim and the boys taking the first run of the day and me taking my only run down. It was a lot of fun but very powdery snow so it got in Jax's face being up front. I don't think he liked that.
Hayden couldn't get enough of it. He LOVED sledding and his new "super fast" sled, as he exclaimed.

Now this video was Jaxson's 3rd run down the hill.... listen carefully.

Can you hear him screaming, "Mama!!" all the way down the hill?? :D
Thought you would enjoy that. :)
Evil aren't we?

Christmas ALL IN ONE

I'm posting Christmas all in one or I will never get up to date with this blog...so here goes. Christmas Eve. The traditional reading of, "The Night Before Christmas."

Our Christmas Eve Family Picture. I think it turned out pretty good for the 6th try. :D
This moment seems harmless and sweet but Hayden is actually yelling at Jaxson for trying to eat Santa's cookies.Christmas morning everyone was nicely surprised. Jaxson enjoyed his new (bigger) knot blanket... this time Curious George.Hayden loved his huge Pikachu and his new desk for his room.
And our yearly christmas morning picture.
Christmas Day at John and Amanda's house. I think Jaxson was keeping an eye out for the big guy, thinking he was coming back again. LOL
Tim playing "santa." I think he just looks cute in the Santa hat :D
The family picture 2009. Now John and Amanda have the space for a more tradtional family photo. This one is a keeper. It was a very nice holiday all around. We all went without a bit and scaled back but I think nothing was really missed.
