Fruit #5

APRICOTS - There were enjoyed too, although I found them to be a little bitter. But I'm not the one eating them.
These are one of the fruits that I need to re-make before summer is over and store for the winter. Peaches, Plums and these. No matter what I'm not paying $3/lb for a off season fruit :-)

First Day of Kindergarten

My little boy started kindergarten yesterday... snif snif! No really there were no tears by anyone. I think we prepared him so well with preschool it was "See ya Mom and Dad!"
Tuesday night we started a new tradition. . . a back to school cake. 1 candle for every year he's in school. Besides it being a little tough it was yummy!
Daddy and his boys
Mommie and her boys.
Hayden dressed in his uniform and ready for school. That is one cool thing about his school that even though it's public they have uniforms they must wear. Nice not having to fight with him on what Star Wars shirt he's wearing today :-) LOL
Walking to school

Sitting at his table which happen to have 2 other kids from our street at it. Should be fun to be with his friends. He also knows a few other kids in class because they were in the same preschool.
I'm having a little issue with the class size... 31 kids in one class and some are special needs kids. I'm all for mainstreaming but with a class that big something needs to be done. I think it's time I talk to the teacher.

He was willing to go back today so I know he had a good time :-)

7 Months Old

Aw heck is he really 7 months old already???

Well Mr. Jax is growing super! I weighed him this morning and he is 17lbs 10oz. (Really the scale said 18lb but I took off 2 oz for clothes :-) Don't know how long/tall he is because that would be like wrestling a pig into a sack; trying to measure my wiggle worm. LOL Maybe I'll try next month.
He goes back to the doctor at the end of October so him and Hayden will go together for their checkups.

Jax is trying all sorts of new things. He's rolling, everywhere! He has that look like, "I want to crawl" and I believe he will within the next month. He's sitting all by himself now... not even a pillow behind him to catch. He loves playing with his stacking rings and rattles and this cool little ball thing that Hayden picked out for him awhile back. He also loves peek a boo and covering his face with a blanket. He thinks it's a riot to "uncover" himself and laugh at us. You know he's thinking, "I'm under here stupid!"

He's also started giving kisses when asked. Be prepared if you ask to take a bath in baby drool though.

I've been working on him to say mama... I "think" I've heard it but I'm not counting it yet :-)

As you can see from the other posts we're well into fruits and are having many veggies at dinner as well. Next month is meat and I'm NOT looking forward to that. I believe that maybe the only store bought food this child will get. I'm not much for whirring up a steak... ewww!
He's still sleeping good but we are having some issues but I think that is due to the two teeth that are trying to pop in. I say those are in by next month too.

And as you can see its getting harder to take these bear pictures :-)

Fruit #4

PEARS - these are a hit as well... only 2 more beginner fruits to try :-)

This is what happens

when your child refuses to eat what you cook and you have him sit at the table long enough.

He falls asleep.I don't know why he didn't want to eat... it was turkey, mashed potatoes and corn. All things that he has eaten before. We woke him up and he did finally finish his dinner but after some more prodding.

Just a reminder of how cute I am...

Giddup Jedi

Fall Season is here..

Soccer started this weekend and Hayden is now proudly a Hammerhead and Tim is their fearless leader.(aka coach Tim) Well after seeing the kids play this weekend I think there is now fear... LOL!
The first game was 0-4, Hammerhead loss. I think 2 of those goals were scored by our team in our net! There are only 3 kids on the team that have played before and 3 kids that are not even 4 years old yet. So there is a lot of learning for all of them to do. Hopefully they both enjoy the season.

Jaxson hanging out and watching his brother before he promptly passed out in Pa's arms.

Country Fair

Ever since my cousin Breana was little we've trekked north to the county fair to see her compete in the equestrian events at the fair. She has since stopped competing but we still go every year.
My parents, Joann, Tim, Hayden, Jax and I went this year. The weather couldn't have been nicer and we all had a really great time.
Tim and my Dad go for the corn and Joann didn't want
Jax
to feel left out so she bought him this teether. :-)

Great America

We decided to take Hayden to Great America this year, since we had a free children's ticket. We met up with my friend Lisa and Ella. (they live near by and have season tickets.)
It was supposed to be a hot day but we still chanced it and took Jaxson. It turned out to be a wonderful day. Hayden enjoyed his first roller coaster. He has a love/hate relationship with them. He likes the hills but not the turns. :-)

Here's the first ride of the day.
Auntie Lisa took the kids on the Wiggles ride :) Hee Hee!
Hayden and Ella enjoying the ladybug ride.
Jaxson posed for a photo opt :-)
Tim and Hayden on a roller coaster in the kids area... they went on this one 3 times.
Hayden and I on the Rajin Caujin... none of us realized
that the whole coaster car spun around the corners. YIKES!
Mommie and Jax taking a quiet moment while Daddy and Hayden enjoyed the bumper cars.

Delay

Sorry to all who check here often...we have been so busy with the end of summer activities that I have not had time to really post. There are several waiting with great pictures... so hang tight and they will hopefully be up by Friday.

Tim's Birthday is also tomorrow so don't hope much for tomorrow either ;-)

Fruit #2

PEACHES - They were an okay food too. Maybe Jax will be my veggie kid because he seems to enjoy those more right now. But I guess stage 1 baby foods are not all that great to begin with, just wait till we get to the bananas :-)

Fruit #1

Apples - I "think" he liked it. He didn't really seem to care. It was breakfast so it was food. We'll try again tomorrow :-)

It has begun

Hayden has started the countdown to his first day of school.
14 days and counting . . .

Touch A Truck

The coolest part about this years Touch A Truck was the ABC news helicopter. Hayden was just loving seeing this.
He even got to sit in it and wear the headphones.
Defiantly his highlight of the day.

All by Myself

Hayden successfully built his first Lego creation. He was very proud of himself. :-)

Soon...

he will be moving :-)

Petting zoo with Nana

We went to a local zoo/petting farm last week with Nana...before she had to go back to work for the year. It was a perfect weather day and a lot of fun at the zoo. Although Hayden complained about the stink some :-)

Hayden showing Jaxson the deers.
Flopsey the Norwegian GIANT bunny...and he was soft too.
And of course I was taking my flower pictures and caught this little guy.
Nana and the boys.
