Just like the past 4 years Pa and Hayden lead the Summer parade in town. Hayden has come to love and look forward to being with Pa in the DARE truck. They throw gum as they go. Normally Tim and I are in the back of the truck whipping gum as fast as we can but this year Tim had to go solo. Jax is just to young to ride. Next year Pa will get all of us again. We prepared Jax for the parade with range muffs. Those firetrucks and emergency vehicles really love laying on the horns and sirens. :)

No one looks forward to it more than PA! He will miss it when he retires. Hopefully Jax will get in a couple of parades before dad retires.

What a great idea for the muffs! Wish we had a few pairs for the kids when it comes to fireworks. They hate ear plugs but don't like the noise.
The parade looks like it was fun.
That is exactly what we used them for on the 4th. Hayden actually enjoyed the fireworks this year. Thanks to my Dad, he never uses them on the firing range.
