Apple Picking in the Snow?

We usually go apple picking every fall and it's always to the same place, Oriole Springs in Wisconsin. This year with busy schedules, weather, and waiting for my Dad to get back from FL we ended up going very late in the season. The weather was so good over the summer though, the trees were just loaded with apples. More than we've ever seen before! And look at the size of them!
This was Jaxson's first year so he was unsure what to make of all this... food on trees? I thought food grew on shelves :-)
Nana and the boys.
A nice family picture in the orchard.
This is how it comes of ...p..u..l..l.!!!
Gram and Pa with the boys... as you can see it was very very cold from how everyone was bundled up. At one point it was actually snowing in the orchard!

This si his second apple out of 4 he ate that day...
At the smoke house they have a small pen of animals for the kids to look at. Goats, geese and turkeys. Jax loved the turkeys because they gobbled back at him.
Warm apple cider, fresh apples and a nice HOT doughnut rounded out our trip nicely.
